DAES presence at the International Summer School/Workshop in Trieste, Italy

July 5, 2018 - This summer, the ICTP Summer School on Theory, Mechanisms and Hierarchical Modelling of Climate Dynamics: Multiple Equilibria in the Climate System and WCRP Grand Challenge on Clouds, Circulation and Climate Sensitivity held their second meeting on Monsoons and Tropical Rain Belts in Trieste, Italy.

The department of atmospheric and environmental sciences had a solid representation as both guest speakers and graduate student attendance. Among the Lecturers was Assistant Professor Brian E.J.Rose. Also in attendance was recent graduate Dr. Christopher M. Colose who presented some of his research work, and chaired a session at the workshop.

Graduate Students – Yan Jiang, Ajay Raghavendra, and M. Cameron Rencurrel participated in the summer school and showcased their works during the poster session held as part of the workshop. The students received full travel support and other workshop related expenses covered by the ICTP and U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF).
