I am interested in the application of anthropological research methods to better engage culturally diverse communities within the field of public health, with goals of addressing health disparities among minority populations. I am currently interested in the research and promotion of harm reduction strategies for intravenous drug users and others struggling with substance abuse and addiction. I am currently serving as a Community Outreach & Research Assistant for the Center for the Elimination of Minority Health Disparities at UAlbany, coordinating logistics for two Minority Health Disparities Task Forces in Albany and Amsterdam, NY, respectively.
