Who are we?
The UAlbany Men's Club Volleyball team is just that, a club within UAlbany's Student Association. We are not a varsity program recognized by the Athletics department, but the nature of the practices we hold and matches we play can be very competitive.
What is our purpose?
To give male students attending the University at Albany an opportunity to play intercollegiate volleyball at a level that is not equivalent to varsity athletics, but is more competitive than what intramural sports can offer.
What is the cost of playing?
We're all in college and understand that money is not an abundant resource for most of us, so we try to keep the price of dues to a minimum. In past years, dues have typically been around $75 per semester. In addition, a good amount of time invested is expected from all of the players in the form of practicing, participating in tournaments, and fundraising.
When & where are practices/matches?
Practices are held every Monday and Wednesday evening from 9:00 to 11:30pm in the PE Gymnasium. Our matches are typically held at various weekend tournaments at a number of different colleges throughout the semester.
