General Interest Meeting
Our Spring General Interest meeting will be happening tonight, Feb. 13th, at 8:30pm in LC 7. Sorry for the short notice on the site, but it's the same time as our usual gaming meetings, just a different place. There will most likely be some gaming afterwards.

Spring Semester Activity
Alright, we have scheduled the first gaming meeting of the semester, it'll be on Wednesday Jan. 30th, at 8:30pm at the usual place, that is, a short meeting on the third floor of the Campus Center, CC 375 maybe, then heading downstairs to the Campus Center Commons to play games for the rest of the night. Join us whenever you can during the evening.
We will be having our first BadCon meeeting on Thursday, Jan. 31st, at 8:30pm in the Ryckman Hall basement on Dutch Quad. BadCon is the gaming convention The Guild runs every Spring, if you're interested in helping out planning or running the convention (we'd love a ton of help) or you just want more information about what will be there, then please attend! (There will be refreshments)
Also, we are having a Spring general interest meeting on Feb. 6th, Wednesday, if anyone knows someone who would be interested in more info about the club, let them know, there will be more info at the end of the week about time and place.

First Official Meeting
Our first gaming meeting is scheduled for Wednesday November 7th starting at 8:30pm, in Campus Center room 364, and all these games will be available, as well as more, I'm sure. To get to this room, just enter the Campus Center from the small fountain side (you'll enter into the flag room) and take a left. You'll see the campus police office on the right and on your left will be some stairs. Go up the stairs 2 flights (one floor above the floor with the Patroon Room) and take a left. Go all the way down the hall and you will see a series of rooms, 364 will be one of them (we'll put up some signs). Since this is such late notice, don't worry if you cannot make it, and feel free to show up any time, even if it is after 8:30, since there will always be people willing to start new games. If you have any games, books, decks, etc you'd like to bring, please do! They won't be kicking us out until about 12:00am, so drop in anytime between 8:30pm and 12am. We hope to see you all there!
Also, if anyone is a World of Warcraft player and interested in joining a guild for The Guild club members, please email ua.guild@gmail.com with your server and faction preference, if any (I meant to have a sign-up at the general interest meeting but forgot ;_;). Katie has set up several charters on several different servers (on both Horde and Alliance toons), and depending on the realms and factions you respond with, we'll choose one that the most people would be ok with. Don't feel obligated to transfer your main toons over, unless you want to; this can mainly be a guild for alts if that's what people want, I know that I'll have at least one or two alts in it. So please let me know as soon as possible so I can let you know what server and faction is best, and get your signatures on the charter :D Thanks!

First Official Meeting- Tentative Date
Hi guys, thanks so much to everyone who filled out a survey, more people filled it out than I was expecting, which was awesome. We're working on sorting through them all right now, and we'll be contacting people interested in running games soon so we can start organizing those. At the moment, we have a tentative date for the next meeting, which is the date we announced at the general interest meeting: Wednesday November 7th. We've put in the paper work for the date and time, so hopefully it'll go through and we'll know by Friday. So keep your calendars clear for Wednesday November 7th, at 8:30pm, until midnight at the latest, but no one needs to stay that long, it's just when they'll actually kick us out :-) We are trying to get CC375, which is a large room on the 3rd floor of the Campus Center, above the Patroon Room. So we'll make an official announcement of the date, time, and place by the end of this week. Oh, and Happy Halloween!

Website is now Live!
The website is now up and accessible at http://albany.edu/~theguild and the first general interest meeting has been scheduled. The First General Interest Meeting is Monday Night (October 29th) at 9:00pm in LC 20, in the Lecture Center. We'll be discussing what the club is all about and having some preliminary sign-ups for playing in, and running, various games. I'm also going to put together some sort of little trivia thing or some such and have some Halloween candy to give out. It should be fun times, so be sure to show up! If you can't make it but still want to know about games being run, email us at ua.guild@gmail.com and we'll let you know what's up.
