Welcome to my beer pong website!

Hi! My name is Rich LoNigro and I am a student and beer pong enthusiast. My beer pong website is going to be about the lesser known beer pong rules out there. Everyone knows the basic tenants of Pong, but there are a lot of variations and rules out there that make the game a little more interesting.

Redemption

Almost all beer pong games abide by this rule. When you're last cup is hit, it isn't over yet. You and your opponent have a chance to redeem yourselves. You both get to shoot until you miss on your opponents remaining cups. If you happen to get their cups during this redemption period the game goes into Overtime. Overtime starts with a 3 cup triangle on both sides, no racks. There is redemption in overtime, which leads to double overtime which is 1 cup for each team and no redemption.

Bouncing

Bouncing is a very well known rule. When someone comes to a new table this is usually the rule they will ask about. I'd say its about half of the games I've been to allow bouncing. If you bounce the ball off the table into one of your opponent's cups, they must take away that cup PLUS one more cup as punishment. The downside? The opposing team can swat the ball away if they see you bouncing. This should only be utilized when you are sure your opponents aren't paying attention.

Catching

If a ball is thrown behind the other side of the table, completely missing the table and the cups, the opposing team can catch the ball and make the throwers drink one of their cups. This is punishment for bad accuracy. The catch must be completely clean, that means no fumbling, and it has to be caught with one hand.
