About Me

To achieve my goal in teaching and research in GIScience, I have been at many different places to increase my intellectural diversites and collecting all the experiences that a geographer could have. All these experiences are so enriching. Before joining the Department of Geography and Planning at University at Albany, State University of New York, I spent two years as a substitute professor (W1) and postdoctoral researcher in the Spatial Intelligence Lab at the Institute for Geoinformatics at University of Muenster in Germany, right after receiving my doctoral degree at Penn State. Prior to that I received my master degree in Geography at University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and bachelor degree in Cartography and GIS at Wuhan University in Wuhan, China.
