Biography

Dr. Juan C. Silas, Profesor at the University of Monterrey in Mexico and associate researcher for the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Educational Quality and Poverty at the same university where he leads a research line dealing with higher education access and equity.
After earning his doctoral degree from the University of Kansas (2000) he moved to Mexico where he joined the National Researchers System. Silas´ recent works deal with private higher education in Mexico. His first book on private higher education in Mexico will be published during early 2005.
