Alumni October Newsletter Dear Milne Alumni and Supporters, In this issue: * Digitization Project Reminder * Good News! * Sad News DIGITIZATION PROJECT REMINDER If you haven't done so already, be sure to check out the Milne School Digital Collections. These collections include our yearbooks, newspapers, and other Milne School publications. Also available at that site is a link to the restored murals located in the former Milne Library, an audio recording of (most of) the September 1, 1984, dedication of the Milne Commons Room located in Education Building Room 335, and a link to a list of donors that made our Digitization Project possible. If you are able to provide missing newspapers or yearbooks, please let me know. We will be able to add any missing documents as they are found. Remember, all documents are searchable. Be sure to "bookmark" the above link for future reference. Thanks to everyone who made the completion of the Digital Reformatting Project possible! Alumni will be able to revisit their Milne experiences, and their descendants will have a unique opportunity to learn about their ancestors' high school years. GOOD NEWS! "Hi! It's Helene GALEK - class of '72! I am associate producer of the new sitcom web series, That Reminds Me, which launches on the World Wide Web on October 6th at 9 p.m.! I also play 'fun loving Aunt Carol who cleanses auras and opens chakras!' "This is our modern view of the whacky family and is marketed as binge watching for the baby boomers! We recently had a sneak preview at the beautiful Clifton Park library and received enthusiastic response! "Also starring in our fun series is Greg Mullavey (Tom Hartman/ Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, Grandpa/Icarly), who is currently starring in Clever Little Lies with Marlo Thomas Off Broaday! Wendy APPELL Bopp, '74, was honored on September 19th for her 30 years of service by the Kinderhook Democratic Committee at their annual Jefferson/Jackson Dinner. SAD NEWS Please note that I rely upon the Albany Times Union and input from other alumni for this information, so if you become aware of someone who has passed away, please let me know. Allan HERKOWITZ, father of Sandra HERKOWITZ Kennedy, '68, and Lynn HERKOWITZ Deutsch, '73, and husband of Gloria HERKOWITZ, former Milne faculty member, passed away on September 25, 2015. Stephen FULD, '69, brother of Laurence Fuld, '72, passed away on October 3, 2015. Nancy McMANN Dandrea, '49, passed away on October 8, 2015.
