CLASS OF '71 REUNION PLANS

Mary Welch has announced that the Class of 1971 40th reunion will be held on the weekend of the 24/25th of September 2011. There will be a Saturday night dinner followed by a Sunday breakfast at two different Albany restaurants (yet to be determined). These will be no-reservations, pay-your-own way events. However, as the reunion weekend gets closer, Mary will try to determine the number of classmates interested in attending. Contact Mary for more information.

NEW CLASS CONTACT FOR THE CLASS OF '72

Welcome to Patti SANTEN Rider, the new Class Contact for the Class of 1972. We now have Class Contacts for all but the following classes: 1955, 1952, 1950, 1944, 1942, 1939-1941, 1935-1937, and 1933...and earlier. If you are interested in becoming a Class Contact, please let me know. (My contact information is on our homepage.)

Every class should have at least one and preferably two Class Contacts who maintain a class list -- I can help with that. All we ask is that you be the person that your classmates contact if they have a change in name, address, phone number, and/or email address. If you enjoy playing "detective," you can also help find your missing classmates. I am developing a Milne alumni directory of addresses, phone numbers, and (especially!) email addresses. The goal is to develop a comprehensive alumni database so that alumni can be contacted when Milne alumni activities are scheduled. This database will not be published or shared with any commercial vendor. Email will be our preferred method of communication (since it's free!) and will be used when there is important information to communicate.

CHECK OUT SOME OF YOUR OLD "HAUNTS"

This is really amazing! Go to www.vpike.com and enter an address. You will then see a picture of that location. Click on the photo and move your mouse to more accurately see the location (sometimes the first view is the wrong side of the street!) OR you can move the little man on the map up and down the street. Try looking for 135 Western Avenue, Albany, NY 12203 (Milne!) or 440 Washington Avenue (I had to "drag" the photo to see the correct side of Washington Avenue). Or use your old home address. (Note that there are some locations that may not be available yet.) Thanks to Carol RICHTER Roffman for sharing this "fun" site.

SAD NEWS

Virginia B. KRICHBAUM, wife of Elmer KRICHBAUM, '43, and mother of Karl KRICHBAUM, '70, passed away on December 26, 2009.

David Richard LEICHENAUER, '76, passed away on February 25, 2010. David was the husband of Nancy HEISMAN Leichenauer, also of the Class of '76.
(The obituary information I sent out earlier erroneously stated that David and Nancy were in the Class of '74. I apologize for that mistake.)

Thanks to all of you for your interest in Milne Alumni activities.
