MEMORIES...

Thank you to Dan Brown, '57, for this contribution to our newsletter:

"I doubt few of us or our children in the Albany region would not remember the Freddy Freihofer show that was broadcast on TV from 1949 to 1966. If you don't remember it from the 1950s, perhaps your children remember it from the 1960s.

"Part of the show was a 15-minute segment called 'Breadtime Stories.' Although preceded by three other story-telling hosts, beginning in 1956 'Uncle Jim' prevailed over the final 10 years as the story-teller in the segment. He was Jim Fisk, was born in Glens Falls, NY. Jim recently passed away on January 8, 2011, at age 91.

"After the show's 1966 termination, Jim founded and operated the well-known JIMAPCO map business that continues today."
