STATUS OF YEARBOOK AND NEWSPAPER DIGITAL REFORMATTING PROJECT

We have now received $3,135 toward digitizing all available Crimson & White and Bricks & Ivy editions. For further information regarding this important project, see https://www.albany.edu/~milne/Project.shtml. Thanks for your support of this initiative, which will be funded solely by your tax-deductible contributions. A list of donations is available at https://www.albany.edu/~milne/DigitizationDonations.pdf.

LOCAL BOY MAKES GOOD

"Albany may be a world leader in computer chips and nanotechnology, but an Albany native is making some amazing strides with computer chips these days in the biotech sector. But he's not in Albany.

"Robert Langer, who attended Albany's Milne High School before studying at Cornell University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is a giant in the world of cancer drug development, and his lab at MIT has 100 researchers. A company Langer co-founded called MicroChips just completed what it says is the first successful human clinical trial of a wireless computer chip that can be implanted in the body to deliver medicine." (From the Albany Times Union, Sunday, June 17, 2012.)

Bob Langer, '66, is a member of the Milne Alumni Hall of Fame. Thank you to Elaine Wieczorek, '72, for sharing this link.

REUNION REVIEW

We haven't forgotten about you, but we want the reunion summary to be spectacular! Stay tuned...
