Local and regional individuals and groups opposed to a war against Iraq will meet at the Social Justice Center as part of a scheduled meeting to plan activities and begin creating banners, posters and peace doves. Representatives of Capital District for Justice and Peace, among other groups, will be available to discuss the following: - Plans for a January 17 Candlelight Peace March against a war on Iraq from the State Capital to Townsend Park in Albany, - Organization of bus groups to travel from the Capital Region to Washington DC on Saturday, January 18 for a National Anti-War demonstration, - Participation in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Coalition of the Schenectady County Human Rights Commission's 18th annual march and celebration in honor of Dr. King's messages of peace, - Participation in the Center for Law and Justice (CLJ) "People's Celebration of Martin Luther King's Life and Principles" on Monday, January 20, beginning at 8:30 am at the Legislative Office Building in Albany, - Other activities as scheduled.
