What is Rush?

Rush is a time period where you can come out and enjoy free events on campus while getting to know the sisters of our organization.
It is also a crucial time for us to get to know you! So come out and show us who you are and what you're all about!
In order to receive a bid, which is an invitation to take part in our intake process,
you must attend at least one GIM [General Information Meeting], and two social events of your choice.
During the rush period, it's very important for you to ask us any questions you may have about our sorority and your personal concerns.

What is the Intake Process?

This is the journey into becoming a sister. In this period, you learn all about Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority,
sisters of the sorority, your line sisters [the other girls in the process],and most of all, yourself.
This process is designed to be a challenge for you to discover what you are capable of.
The sisters of the Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority strictly believe in a postive intake process and do not tolerate hazing.

Do I have to be Asian?

No, absolutely not. Kappa Phi Lambda is an Asian interest sorority but it is not made only for Asians.
We welcome sisters of all ethic backgrounds because cultural diversity is a strong value within the sorority.
In fact, we have many sisters of different nationalities represented in our organization.
