Why so many Jewish groups ?

This is a common question, with both a simple answer and a complicated one.  We encourage participation in many of the groups.  The simple answer is that each group has its own mission.  The complicated answer is the basis behind each of the other groups:

Hillel - Secular Judaism, social organization

RUACH - Reform Judaism, religious organization

L'Chaim - Works with the Chabad House (Shabbos House) on campus , religious and social organization

Tagar - Pro-Israel, political organization

Hamagshimim - Pro-Israel, cultural organization

"KOACH provides college-age students the opportunity to maintain and develop connections to Conservative Judaism.

KOACH nurtures a love of Torah, the Jewish people, Israel and God through a variety of activities, including social, religious, educational, cultural and social action programs.

We seek to create a passionate Jew who is committed to the future of the Jewish people and the improvement of the world."
