a cup used to hold the wine that becomes the Blood of Christ during the sacrament of the Eucharist

chasuble

a long sleeveless article of clothing worn by a priest when he is celebrating Mass

confirmation name

the name of a saint assumed by a Catholic individual when he or she receives the sacrament of Confirmation

conscience

a sense or feeling that lets us know if what we are doing is right or wrong

godparents

individuals who sponsor a child or other person being baptized; they also help to guide this child or person as he or she grows in his or her faith

grace

a gift given by God to save human beings from original sin

holy oil

also called chrism; made of oil and balsam, used to anoint individuals during the sacraments of Anointing of the Sick and confirmation

host

bread which becomes the body of Christ during the liturgy of the Eucharist

laying on of hands

placing hands on a person to bless them and bring the Holy Spirit to them

the group of sacraments that help us recover from sin or physical pain; these are Anointing of the Sick and Reconciliation.
