Places
of Color

Switzerland's
Light Emitting Hotel
"Light
emitting diodes (LEDs) - tiny rectangles of semiconductor
material with varying abilities to conduct electrical
current - are popping up everywhere from tail lights
to flashlights. Now they're also appearing on large
surfaces. Take the Park Hotel Weggis, for instance,
which is located on Lake Lucerne, about 50 km south
of Zurich, Switzerland. A new extension to the hotel
known as Aquarius Hall is now bathed in a spectrum of
LED colors. " (innovation news)

India:
Holi - Festival of Color
It is said that if you travel to India in the
month of March you could end up covered in a blanket
of color. "The holiday Holi is celebrated
throughout India, but Northern India goes the
craziest on this day. People of all ages are drenched
with colors like red, green, yellow, blue, black
and silver." "Holi means that spring
has arrived and winter has passed. It's also a
day to forget all your problems and be happy -
having color-bombs explode everywhere makes things
pretty cheerful. " (kidzworld.com)
