The Haitian Student Association (HSA) provides educational, cultural and social enrichment to the students of the University and knowledge about Haiti and the Haitian community. HSA promotes unity, social and self-awareness among the Haitian students on campus. HSA tries to educate Haitians students and the University community in general about Haiti's political and cultural aspects by:

Inviting guest speakers to talk on different issues concerning Haitians.

Implementing social events aimed at raising awareness of Haitian culture and history.

Holding general meetings to discuss issues that directly affect the Haitian community.
HSA' s ultimate aim is to dispel myths, stigmas and stereotypes people of Haitian descent are often victims of, through celebration of the richness, uniqueness and positivism of the Haitian Heritage.
