1. Volunteer Opportunities On November 18th, HATAS is in need of volunteers for their Fort Orange Club cocktail evening. This event ties in with their Home Sweet Gingerbread Home event series. This evening consists of a cocktail party with a silent auction. They auction off the gingerbread houses that were created by local groups and organizations along with many other items. They need volunteers to watch over the silent auction and help run things. If anyone is interested in this opportunity, please contact Jackie Ginnan at jginnan@siena.edu or 518-463-2124 ext 203. Volunteers are needed to help serve food at an upcoming Thanksgiving feast in the West Hill area of Albany to celebrate the grand opening of the new senior citizen community dining site. The feast will take place on Friday November 20th, and will begin at 11:30am. It is located in the first floor dining room at the Koinonia Center at 553 Clinton Ave in Albany. 2. Nepali Movie Night NS-RGSO in collaboration with ISSS presents a Nepali Movie Night - EVEREST An international team of climbers ascends Mt. Everest in the spring of 1996. The film depicts their lengthy preparations for the climb, their trek to the summit, and their successful return to Base Camp. It also shows many of the challenges the group faced, including avalanches, lack of oxygen, treacherous ice walls, and a deadly blizzard.
