1. GSO Constitution Amendment: General election for four of the GSO senators.
Credential:In addition to the Lead Senator, three other GSO senators will be elected by the GSO general membership. The one additional GSO Senator shall be appointed by the GSO president at the first meeting of the Fall Semester, and this person is preferably a graduate student who has legitimate reason for missing the general election.
Originally, The GSO general membership elect a GSO Lead Senator to the University at Albany Senate during the GSO elections. But four additional senators will be appointed by the President of the GSO and approved by the GSO Assembly at the first meeting of the Fall Semester.

2. GSO fee adjustment: from $20 per semester ($10 for part time student) to $22 per semester ($11 for part time student) for more events/printing service/grants

Where as: Graduate Student Organization (GSO) is a student-run organization, providing the graduate student body with a wide range of services including free copying/printing, programming and multicultural events. GSO also provides grant funding opportunities to individual students, and RGSO funding for student's groups and clubs.
Where as: But the funding of all GSO services and grants comes solely from "graduate student activities fee" collected from GSO members. Our current fee level is $20 per semester for full time students and $10 per semester for part time students. This is considerably lower then that of other equivalent organizations in SUNY systems.

Where as: It is requested by large number of GSO members that GSO should increase funding to groups and clubs, organize more diversified events, and provide more services in the office.
What does a $2 fee increase can do for me?? Here is some possible scenario:
1.Keep the operation of East Campus GSO office, requires $2 fee increase ($1 for part time students)
2.Open a new GSO office on Downtown Campus, requires $3 fee increase ($1.5 for part time students)
3.Double the free copy/printing service limit in GSO main office, requires $3 fee increase ($1.5 for part time students)
4.Double the funding for student's groups and clubs (RGSO), requires $3 fee increase ($1.5 for part time students)
5.Double the travel and research grants funding for graduate students, requires $4 fee increase ($2 for part time students)
6.Double the Programming and Multicultural events, requires $5 fee increase ($2.5 for part time students)
7.Free legal advisory service weekly in GSO office, requires $3 fee increase ($1.5 for part time students)
