Who are we?

We are the graduate student organization that represents the academic and extracurricular interests of the Master of Regional Planning and Masters of Arts in Geography students at the University at Albany.

We take an inclusive team approach to our operations and enjoy a very strong relationship with faculty and staff, and work collaboratively to enhance the student experience.

We are the student link to the regional, state, and national chapters of the American Planning Association; we strongly encourage students to travel to the regional, state and national conferences every year.

What do we do?

We hold monthly meetings on campus during the academic year and all students are encouraged to attend and participate.

We meet monthly off-campus for a social outing.

We take trips to learn about and see good urban planning in action. Past trips have included Buffalo, Ithaca, Las Vegas, Montreal, Boston, Lake George, Poughkeepsie, etc.

We hold academic events such as World Town Planning Day

We foster professional development by maintaining alumni contacts, hosting events, and building bridges to the community outside the university.
