CSI 300z: Privacy, Security, and

Social Implications of Computing

The ethical and moral implications of using computers to affect the lives of individual and collective members of human society. Material drawn from a variety of topics, including security and privacy in computers, networks, security measures, etc. Also, data banks vs. rights to privacy, intellectual property, open vs. closed software, software piracy, unauthorized access, and other computer crimes. 3 credits.

Prerequisite: CSI 101, CSI 110, CSI 201 or other hands-on course in programming.

Note: "z" designates "Writing Intensive"
