Exams: There will be two exams. The midterm will be one hour long, taken in class on Monday, October 10. The end-of-term exam is also one hour long, taken in class on Monday, December 5.

Reading/Homework: Read the sections we cover in class immediately before or after each lecture. Homework problems from the text will be assigned on the MyMathLab website. The assignments will be generally due on Wednesdays. Here is a copy of the registration instructions from MyMathLab that I will be distributing in class.

Grades: The course letter grades will be based on the total score obtained from homework and exam scores weighted according to the following scheme:

    online homework problems:

    60%

    exams:

    40% (20% midterm + 20% end-of-term exam)
