Fall 2007

·   Mon Sept 17, General interest meeting 7:15 pm ED 335. Free pizza and refreshments will be served. All are welcome to join!

·   Wed Oct 3, Nicole Dann, a current UA graduate student, will discuss her experiences in applying for School of Psychology, and the preparation process for GREs and grad schools. 7:30pm ED 335

·   Tue Oct 16, Resume writing workshop by Dr. Virginia Goately, Associate Dean in the School of Education. Snacks and refreshments will be served! 7pm ED 335

 

Spring 2007

·   Tue Feb 6, General interest meeting 7:30 pm in ED 127.

·   Tue April 10th 7pm in ED 335. Paul Fallon, current PhD student in Ed Admin and Policy Studies, will talk about his experiences in public and charter schools.

 

Fall 2006

·   Mon, Sept. 25 at 7pm in ED 346 General Interest Meeting: Georgia Kioukis, Undergraduate Advisor for the School of Education will be speaking about the minor in education, as well as EDU 390 Community Service Projects in Education.

·   Mon, Oct. 9 at 7pm in ED 335 Icebreaker: Questions from your questionnaires will be addressed and we will be focusing on Teacher Certification.

·   Mon, Oct. 23rd at 7pm in EDU 335 Dr. Goatley, Associate Dean in the School of Education, will speak about UAlbany's graduate programs in education.

·   Mon, Nov. 6th at 7pm in ED 335 Dr. Goatley will be hosting a Resume/Cover Letter writing workshop. Bring your resume for review or come and build a new one.

·   Mon, Nov. 13th at 7pm in ED 346 Crystal Campbell will be speaking about opportunities to become a mentor at local middle schools through Sponsor-A-Scholar.

 

Spring 2006

·   Wed., March 15 at 7pm in ED 127 Dr. Virginia Goatley will be speaking about the overall education program

·   Wed., May 3 at 7pm in ED 127 a talk by a middle school special education teacher

Spring 2005

·   Mon., Feb. 28 at 7pm in ED 346, Crystal Rion spoke about the education minor and the summer in the city program.

·   Mon., March 14 at 7:15pm in ED 346, Dr. Virginia Goatley talked to FEC about various graduate programs in the School of Education.

·   Mon., Apr. 4 at 7pm in EDU 346, Mandy Carrk talked about first year in teaching. She has just graduated from Siena last year and is finishing up her first year teaching

·   Mon., Apr. 18 at 7pm in ED 346, Liz Hood from PBS came to speak. She uses technology as an educational tool and provides lots of learning options for educators to use in schools.

 

Fall 2004

·   Mon., Oct. 4 and Tue., Oct. 5 general interest meetings I and II.

·   Mon., Oct. 18 at 7:30pm in ED 335 Crystal Rion discussed EDU 390, a community service course which you can take in the spring (or any semester).

·   Mon., Oct. 25 at 7:30pm in ED 335, Jerry Rivera-Wilson discussed the MSSE (Masters in Science in Secondary Education) program at UAlbany.

·   Mon., Nov. 15 at 7:30pm in ED 335, Kat Cunningham, a high school English teacher, talked about her career in teaching.

·   Mon., Nov. 22 at 7:30pm in ED 335, Maryann Malecki, an instructor at Schenectady Community College, discussed about teaching social studies, English, and methodology.
