Open a new flash file.
Start at frame 1, and create the car that you want to use for your animation. You can either create it yourself, or you can just use an existing image. It would make it easier to put the finished car in your library once you are done. This all needs to be done on 1 layer.
Then, figure out the path that the car will take, just keep this in mind as you create your animation.
Then, from the first frame you created with the car in it, select another frame (I would suggest 5-10 frames later, depending on how fast you want the car to be traveling). Click on this frame and select F6. Then using the selection tool, highlight the entire car and drag it to the next spot you want the car to be in that frame.
Keep repeating this process until you have created the path that you want your car to take. Once this is done, you have created a simple animation of a car moving.
If you want to keep going, you can begin to add more effects. Here are some suggestions:
-You can very easily create a car crash by just adjusting the size of the car to make it thinner and thinner. Over the course of a few frames, this can make it look like the car was crushed by hitting a wall.
-You can incorporate a picture into your flash very easily by just finding it online and copy/pasting it into a frame. I used this to show an explosion after the car crashed.
-You can also create different prospectives of the car traveling by showing it far away or close up. This can easily be done by taking the car and re-sizing it. This is why we stored the original car we created in our library.
Once this is all done, follow the steps we have always used to save the file, and then import the swf into your page so you can show off your ultra cool animation to your friends!!!
