Task back to top Before you are thrown out in to the museum you will have to prove yourself to the museum director(Ms. Miller) and present information about your artist and their work via a power point presentation. Your audience is going to be ninth grade students so be sure that your information is geared towards that age level. You will have the opporunity to choose your own artist after participating in a class activity. .
Process back to top 1-choose an artist at the faculty meeting (in class). Refer to the Metropolitain Museum of Art link down in the resources section in order to choose an artist, we are going to sign up to create our very own online gallery of your favorite works from the museum in order to help you choose. 2- Once you have chosen an artist, you need to start gathering information about them. Refer to the information questions form in the resources section to find out what information you need. 3-Read the article on website evaluation I give you before searching for information so that you know whether or not the sites you look at are credible. write down what you think are the three most important criteria for evaluating a website and hand it in. 4-In order to find good scholarly information on your artist refer to some of the search engine links (at least two!) in the recources section that will help you to find the information that you need. 5-You will be responsible to tell me what search engine you have used and give credit to the sources that you have used. Refer to the attached sheet under resources (giving credit to your sources)to learn how to site electronic resources. You will need to hand this in so that I know how you found your information. 6-Once you have gathered all the information you need you may go ahead and start your power point presentation. Be sure to save everything including any changes that you make to your work. You may refer to the sample PowerPoint presentation located under resources to get an idea of what I am looking for.
