Materials: afghan wool (1 oz skeins), 8 skeins of A, 22 skeins of B, 7 skeins of C and 17 skeins of D. Crochet hook, size G.
50x 70 inches.
Each square measures about 2 inches along each side and about 4 inches diagonally from corner to corner.
Square:
Starting at center with c, ch 6, join w/ sl st.
1st rnd: ch 1, * sc
in ring, ch 3, tr in ring, ch 3. Repeat
from * 3 more times, ending w/ sl st in
1st sc made (4 petals)
Break off.
2nd rnd: Attach D to
a tr following the ch 3 at center of a petal, ch 1, sc in same tr, * sc in top
st of next ch –3, 2 dc in sc between petals,
sc in top st of next ch 3, sc in next tr, sc in next ch, ch 3, skip 1
ch, sc in next ch, sc in next tr.
Repeat from * around, ending w/ ch 3, sc in ch preceeding 1st
sc made, sl st in 1st sc.
3rd rnd: ch3 (counts
as dc), dc in each st to corner ch-3, in corner ch-3 make dc, ch 3 and dc. Continue thus around. Join w/ sl st in 3rd st of ch-3
first made. Break off. This completes 1 square. Make 176 squares in all like this one. Make 204 squares using A for center and b
for outside. Place squares as on
diagram and sew together using neat over and over sts, picking up only the back
loop of each st.
