HOW TO START A MOTHER/DAUGHTER BOOK CLUB FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS AND MOTHERS

FIVE GOOD REASONS TO START A MOTHER/DAUGHTER BOOK CLUB:
  1. Book clubs encourage girls to read for pleasure.
  2. Books open up discussion on topics that may be difficult to approach in everyday conversations.
  3. Clubs provide an opportunity for girls and mothers to socialize together, which is rare at this age!
  4. Mothers build relationships with their daughter's friends and their families. This is a valuable benefit at a stage when girls are beginning to spend more time with friends and less with family.
  5. It's a lot of fun!
