THE GRADUATE FILM STUDIES JOURNAL
The Graduate Film Studies Journal (GFSJ) is a new online academic film journal devoted specifically
to the publication of film scholarship written by graduate students from around the globe.
Graduate work is an integral part of the institutional whole and it is up to academic
administrators, professors, and peers to recognize the work produced by young scholars
as their ideas could very well shape or reshape the world of academia as we now know it.
Hopefully, the GFSJ will, in a small and concentrated way, prove this point by presenting
to our readers several articles quarterly, written by exceptional graduate students who will continue to
grow into influential (film) scholars.
