      SCOPE:
            This reproduces the transcript of the September 1969-February 1970 trial of David Dellinger, Rennard Davis, Thomas Hayden, Abbot Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, Lee Weiner, John Faroines, and Bobby Seale, the so-called Chicago 7. (The case against Bobby Seale was separated from the others in November, 1969 when he was sentenced to four years in prison for contempt of court). The defendants were charged with conspiring to incite a riot during the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Their conduct during the trial, the behavior of their lawyer William Kunstler and that of the judge, Julius Hoffman, caused much comment during trial. Among the witnesses for the defense were Judy Collins, Arlo Guthrie, and Allan Ginsburg.
