Welcome to the University at Albany Chinese Students and Scholars Association (UA-CSSA) Web Site.


The CSSA at the University at Albany is an officially registered, volunteer-based non-profit student organization sponsored by the University at Albany Graduate Student Organization (UA-GSO). Currently there are more than 200 graduate students originally from China pursuing their master's or Ph.D's degrees at the University at Albany. With its purpose to serve the Chinese community at the UA, the UA-CSSA is dedicated to enhancing communication, enriching life recreation, and facilitating mutual assistance for Chinese students and scholars.


Every year, the UA-CSSA organizes a variety of activities and programs including the Chinese New Year Celebration, National Day and Mid-Autumn Ceremony, etc. It has maintained constant communications and friendly organizational relations with the Consulate-General of the PRC in New York, The US-China Peoples Friendship Association, and Horizons International, etc.


The UA-CSSA endeavors in every aspect with the long-term goal of building an open and strong community, promoting Chinese culture development across the campus and Albany region, and contributing to fostering the cultural diversity of the region.
