October 7 - SOCIAL ROBOTS
2:00 PM Richardson 02 (basement)

Nick Webb, Senior Research Scientist with the Institute of Informatics, Logics and Security Studies will give a talk on Social Robotics, which looks toward the variety of roles robots can play in modern society, the challenges of technology interacting with humans, and the ethical issues such interaction implies. Refreshments will be served - and there will be ROBOTS!

November 11 - NATURAL LANGUAGE PROCESSING
2:00 PM Levitt Room, Page Hall

Professor Tomek Strzalkowski from CCI's Computer Science Department will give a talk on the latest developmetns in the field of Natural Language Processing, which aims to design and build software that will analyze, understand, and generate languages that humans use naturally, so that eventually you will be able to address your computer as though you were addressing another person.

November 13 - INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE
7:00 PM Levitt Room, Page Hall

Professor Roger Grice of RPI's Language, Literature & Communication Department will give a talk on the latest development in Information Architecture, which utilizes principles of information organization, human information behavior and information design to create better human-computer interaction.
