To Make Text glint: Demo
- Create a new flash document
- Click on the text tool and type in your desired text
a. Make sure you use a thick text so the glint will show more (impact)
b. I found that a nice size is 79-point text
c. A grey color text works well but choose whatever you desire
- Create a new layer and position it under the text layer.
- Click on rectangle tool and draw a rectangle on the new layer around your text
a. The rectangle should be taller than the text on the top and bottom and about twice as long.
- Make sure there is no outline for the rectangle
a. Click in the stroke color box and click the white box with a red line through it.
b. Pick whatever other colors and effects you would like but I would recommend a black/white gradient.
- Use the color mixer (upper right hand panel) to create the glint effect.
- Right click on frame 1 of the background layer and select create motion tween
- Right click on frame 40 of the background layer and select insert keyframe
- Right click on frame 40 of the text layer and select insert frame
- Click on frame 1 of the background layer and move the rectangle so the glint is just before the first letter of your text.
- Click on frame 40 of the background layer and move the rectangle so the glint is just after the last letter of your text.
- Right click on the text layer and click mask
- The movie you create will show a light going through your text.
Transition And Blur Effect Demo
1. Create a new flash document
2. At the first frame create a shape of your choice, square, circle it doesn't really matter.
3. Then right click the shape and select Timeline effects-->Transition/Transform-->Then select transition.
4. This will bring up a new menu where you can change the effect of the transition. Play around till you get what you like.
You can preview the transition by clicking update preview in the upper right hand corner of this box. You can also change the duration in which you want the effect to take place in frames. After you've played around and got what you like click ok.
5. Then press enter to see your effect in action.
Blur
1. This is basically the same procedure as the transition.
2. Start by creating a new layer.
3. With this layer go to the toolbar and select the text option and write some text. Make a decent size so you can see the effect.
4. Right click the text then go to Timeline effects-->Effects-->Blur
5. This will bring up a new menu where you change the effect of the blur. Once again play around till you see something like
then click the okay button.
6. Then press enter to see you effect in action.
Highlight title letters and Guidelines and Motion lines: Demo
- Create a new flash document
- Change the background color of the doceumnt to Gray.
- In the first layer create a text box and enter a company title.
- Click on the selector tool, select the text box, break apart each letter in the title, twice.
Modify, break apart.
- Select paint can and gradient color. Click on each letter in title to highlight.
- Creat a new layer 2 and open layer Properties dialog box, click the Guide radio button, then click ok.
- Click the line tool on the tools panel, hold the shift key, then draw a diagonal line.
- Click the Lock/Unlock This layer icon in layer 2 to lock it in.
- Create a new layer 3. Draw an oval, fill in color with a gradient color.
- Copy and Past oval two more times.
- Place text on the ovals.
- Preview page.
- To add a motion guide, add a new layer and create an object on this layer.
- Select this this object, then click in frame one of this layer, right click, select create motion tween.
- Go to Frame 40, insert a key frame, now your object is a motion tweened animation.
- Click frame 1 of the object layer, click insert on the menu bar, point to time line, then click motion guide.
- Clcik the pencil tool, click the smooth option in the Options section of the tools panel, then draw a path.
- Click the selection tool, make sure you have the object select and are in frame one. Move the object to the beginning of the path. (Object may automatically snap to the begining of path.)
- Click on frame 40 of the object. Move the object to the end of the path.
- Now play, object should move along path.
