Data Mart, The OASAS Data Warehouse

The New York State Office of Alcohol & Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) in pleased to announce the addition of ‘DataMart’ to the OASAS Web site (www.oasas.state.ny.us). DataMart provides on-line access to a s substantial amount of alcohol and substance abuse information and statistical data designed to assist state and local government planners, treatment and prevention providers, researchers, and the general public with planning for alcohol and substance abuse services in New York State.
DataMart includes the Prevention Risk Indicators Services Monitoring System (PRISMS) County Risk Profiles and will include 1989-1999 county-level and statewide data in the following catagories: OASAS Treatment Service data, Medicaid, Criminal Justice, Alcohol and Drug-Specific, Population, Health/Mental Health, Economic, Education, Family/Youth and Community Characteristics. Data will be available as HTML and EXCEL tables. Data include both raw numbers and rates. Statewide county maps of each data element as well as technical notes describing the data, including data source, rating information and caveats will also be available.
