Today, in its ninth decade of being "Trendsetters
for the uplift of humanity," Alpha Phi Alpha proudly boasts
of initiating over 170,000 college trained men into Alphadom. Not
only is Alpha Phi Alpha the largest black fraternity but, in the professional
ranks, Alpha claims 60% of all black doctors, 65% of all black dentists,
75% of all black lawyers, and 90% of all black college presidents.
With brothers operating in over 700 college and alumni chapters around
the world, Alpha Phi Alpha continues to forge ahead with such innovative
programs dealing with anti-apartheid registration/education, business
economic development, teen pregnancy, the Boy Scouts of America and
a host of others. In short, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. sees
no limit to the power of service.
The Rho Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha has
been providing the Albany community with over ten years of dedicated
service. This section of the website will describe upcoming and maybe
