Test selection and interpretation will be emphasized through the use of basic theory and illustrative tests. Test construction, statistical computation, and specific tests will not be emphasized. Concepts will be generalized to non-test, non-educational, non-psychological sources of information and applications, occasionally in delightful ways.

 

Principles and concepts of measurement; validity and reliability of tests; norms; standardized tests of aptitude and achievement; measures of interests and other personality traits. Prerequisite: EPSY 530 or equivalent (UAlbany Graduate Bulletin).
