The Saratoga Invitational is a 12 team, 15 a side men's and women's rugby tournament which is held each year the same day as the Traver's Stakes. The tournament attracts teams from thruougout the Northeast.The pitch[s] are located at the Northside Recreational field which is nestled within the fine homes of the area and Skidmore College. Saratoga's fine restaurants and shops are just 5 blocks away.

The Saratoga Invitational is held on behalf of The Michael Jones Supplemental Needs Trust. Michael "Jonesy" Jones was critically injured while playing in a tournament in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on February 27th of this year. Mike is currently paralyzed from the neck down and remains hospitalized, in New Jersey. The challenges facing Mike and his family are tremendous. The Michael Jones Supplemental Needs Trust has been established to help address immediate needs as well as the lifelong medical and financial burdens paralysis injuries create. All proceeds from the tournament will be given to the trust.

Take Route 87 North, Adirondak Northway,to Saratoga Springs Exit 15. Take a left on to Route 50 go about 1 mile and take a right on to East Ave. Take a left on Broadway and then a right on 1st Street. 3 blocks down on the right is the North side Recreational Field Adjacent to Skidmore Colleges Sports Complex.
