DENIZ GENCAGA

Senior Research Support Specialist

Department of Physics, University at Albany

State University of New York,

Albany, NY,

USA

My research interests involve developing and applying new Bayesian source separation techniques to Infrared Spectra recorded from interstellar clouds by the Spitzer Space Telescope to identify complex organic molecules which are known as Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH species). I am also working in another NASA funded project with Prof. Kevin Knuth where we estimate entropies and other information theoretic quantities from data to identify causal relationships among Earth climate data from the International Satellite Cloud Climatology Project (ISCCP).
