MBA Graduate Student AssociationExecutive BoardThe executive board is responsible for providing leadership to the MBA GSA. Class of 2010 Executive Board:President: Jeff King
Duties of OfficePresident:The President shall act as Chief Executive Officer of the GSA and as its chief spokesperson and representative. The President shall be responsible for co-authoring large expenditures. The president shall also: act as a liaison between MBA students and the rest of the Business School, plan and execute events that all MBAs can participate in and enjoy, create and agenda and oversee GSA meetings, maintain open lines of communication between the GSA E-Board and all sub-committees, serve as student representativeto the Advisory Council, and any other leadership duties deemed necessaryby the GSA. Vice President:The Vice President's duties shall include, but not be limited to: assisting the President, representing the graduate student interests being open to students' ideas or concerns, assisting with monitoring budget funds and timelines. In the absence of the President, the Vice President shall assume all Presidential duties. Treasurer:The two main duties of the Treasurer are maintenance of the financial records and budget control. It is the Treasurer's responsibility to see that no committee or group overspends its allocated budget. The treasurer shall also collect and record dues, estimate costs, determine disbursementof funds based on the budget and performing bank account transactions. Secretary:The Secretary's duties shall include, but not be limited to, running and recording the weekly meetings, sending typed copies of meeting minutes to GSA E-Board, reviewing action items at beginning of each meeting, updating bulletin boards, and maintaining membership rolls. GSO Representative:It shall be the duty of each GSO Representative and/or Alternate to attend GSO Assembly meeting in order to represent the MBA class in a professional and responsible manner. Furthermore, GSO Reps. must: attend two MCAA events, submit required materials to GSO before the deadline (i.e. budget reimbursementforms, etc. and keep the GSA/MBA student body informed of GSO events. (Departmental Representatives are also obligated to post GSO flyers distributed by the GSO.) Past Elections:Class of 2009:
