    Distinguished Professor Lance Bosart received the National Weather Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award “for over 40 years of contributions to meteorology through operationally-relevant research, direct interactions with forecasters, and educating a generation of researchers, professors, forecasters, and NOAA employees.”

    University at Albany chemistry professor Eric Block has been named a fellow by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the leading international organization dedicated to the advancement of science.

    Patrick Nold of the Department of History has won the Rome Prize is a fellowship that is awarded to an eclectic group of approximately 30 individuals in the arts and humanities – architects, artists, designers, and musicians, along with scholars of ancient, medieval, renaissance, and modern Italian studies.
