"Dangerous Photographs" was a gallery presentation, illustrated by family photographs, of four stories from the book Travel: A Memoir in Stories. The show, co-sponsored by the Broadway Gallery Membership Group was on display at Child's Nursing Home in Albany, NY from November-December 1999.

Jeanne Finley is a fiction writer and poet. Her memoir Travel reconstructs her parents lives in Buffalo, New York in the 1920s and in the central Adirondacks in the 1970s and 80s. The memoir was generated in Le Anne Schreiber's Writers Institute nonfiction workshop in 1998, and was developed in a subsequent MasterClass Schreiber taught for the Institute in spring 1999.

Ms. Finley is a winner of the individual artist's Community Arts Connection grant for 1999 from the Albany/Schenectady League of Arts, through the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program.

She had been assistant to the directors of the New York State Writers Institute from its inception in January of 1984 to 1991.
