Support Women's Studies
There are numerous ways alumni, allies, and friends can support the Women's Studies Department's teaching, research and social justice missions:
- A gift can be made to our general fund, which will help to sustain our ongoing efforts to transform the curriculum and the ways we teach, offer workshops for faculty and student development, and support projects that enhance our presence at the University at Albany and beyond.
- A gift to our scholarship fund can help us maintain the four annual awards given to exceptional undergraduate and graduate students in Women's Studies.
- A donation to the Joan E. Schulz Lectureship will support our efforts to fund a Visiting Professor position and to stregthen the Department's commitment to connecting academic knowledge and political activism.
As the state of New York continues to struggle financially, programs in the humanities and area studies that do not typically generate sizeable external grant support from agencies such as the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health, may bear the brunt of budget cuts.
Your investment, whether $50 or $5 million, will pay immeasurable benefits to our students, University, and community.
