Mammography Night

On November 16, 2011, the Women’s Health Project sponsored a Mammography Night at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Transportation for women interested in receiving mammography screenings was provided by Columbia County Community Healthcare Consortium Cancer Services Program. The transportation included rides from Crosswinds and Bliss Towers to Columbia Memorial Hospital and then back after they received mammography screenings.

Participants received goody bags and were eligible for both prize drawings and research interviews which offered a $25 participation payment.

The free event was held in collaboration with the Columbia County Community Healthcare Consortium Cancer Services Program and the Columbia Memorial Hospital Medical Imaging Department, with support from the Crosswinds Women’s Wellness Committee and the Bliss Towers POWER Team.
