“Ladies Night Out” at Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood
March 1, 2012 was “Ladies Night Out” at Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood, held in collaboration with the Women’s Health Project. Women were able to meet with healthcare professionals and update their reproductive health screenings, discuss family planning options, and receive comprehensive services.
Transportation for women interested in participating in the special night of health services was provided by Columbia County Community Healthcare Consortium Cancer Services Program. The transportation included rides from Bliss Towers to Upper Hudson’s Planned Parenthood’s Hudson Health Center and then back. Participants enjoyed refreshments, received goody bags and were eligible for both prize drawings and research interviews which offered a $25 participation payment.
The event was the eighteenth in a series of free health events offered by the Women’s Health Project, a community-based initiative of the Center for the Elimination of Minority Health Disparities at the University at Albany.
