Transfer Student Information on Obtaining Your SUNYCard
Your SUNYCard provides access to residence halls, fitness centers, meal plans, vending machines, Shop24, Munch Money, Podium, library services and UAlbany bus services.
Since your SUNYCard gives you access to your residence hall and all your campus funds, you need to think of your SUNYCard as if it is your 'house' key and credit card - combined!
If you misplace, lose or believe your SUNYCard has been stolen, you must deactivate it as soon as possible. The person to whom a SUNYCard has been issued is responsible for keeping his/her card secure and is liable for all activity on the SUNYCard until it is deactivated. Refunds are not provided for money or meals fraudulently spent on a SUNYCard.
For your protection, your SUNYCard can only be used by you. Purchases made with your SUNYCard that exceed $25 will require a second form of photo identification.
All students will receive their first SUNYCard during the Orientation program and must complete the steps below ONE WEEK PRIOR to arriving.
