EOP Transfer Student Campus Housing
Housing for transfer students is limited and spaces are not guaranteed, so please apply early. A majority of our transfer students live on Alumni Quad, which is located approximately three miles east of the University's main campus. A limited number of apartment style housing may be available for transfer students who are juniors, seniors or 21 years of age.
Housing assignments are determined by your housing application date of receipt.

Applying for Housing
Login to MyUAlbany.
Choose Campus Life and then select the Housing Application.
The $125 housing deposit is waived for EOP students.

For each student in the residence halls there is an extra-long twin bed, mattress, desk and chair, dresser and closet. Each student is also assigned an Ethernet connection and cable jack. All of the residence halls and apartments have wireless connections. For more information on University Apartments and amenities, please visit the Residential Life website.
Your SUNYCard is your key to access on campus. It is used to access your residence buildings as well as for dining, vending, bus services, the library and more. You will receive your SUNYCard during orientation. For more info please visit SUNYCard services.
All students residing in traditional style housing are required to be on a residential meal plan. You will be assigned to the Unlimited Meal Plan. For changes to your meal plan or more information please visit UAlbany Dining. Students residing in University Apartments are not required to participate in a meal plan; however, they can purchase any of the residential meal plans or a commuter plan.
It is a short ride to the main campus from Alumni Quad, and both the University and CDTA buses are available free of charge to UAlbany students with their SUNYCard.
