Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day

Held on the fourth Thursday in April, Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is a day to celebrate girls -- take them seriously and listen to their ideas. Adolescent-aged daughters, grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and friends of University faculty and staff visit campus with their adult sponsors for a day of tours and activities. It is an opportunity for girls to learn first-hand the exciting range of life options open to them, while also getting the attention they deserve but often don't get in school or other youth-serving organizations. If you have any suggestions or questions, contact Alison Olin abs@albany.edu

Women's Connection

This newsletter highlights campus, local and national news and information pertinent to University women. It is an excellent vehicle for supporting and encouraging campus women by highlighting their achievements. News items and other stories important to women receive more attention than they might receive in other publications. It is an excellent opportunity to sharpen one's writing and editorial skills. If you are interested in contributing to the Women's Connection, contact Alison Olin abs@albany.edu
