non-profit, community-based organization created in 1997 to
make the eradication of breast cancer a priority through education
and advocacy Led by an active and committed Board and Director,
we are a diverse group of survivors, volunteers and advocates

experiences with breast cancer as survivors and caregivers
give our organization a unique perspective. We want to deal
with breast cancer on a personal level; and, we want to see
major changes in healthcare policy and research focus attention
on the causes of breast cancer. We work for improved commmunication
between doctors and patients, and better support systems for
survivors, their families, and their caregivers.
To this end, we are an organizational member of the National
Breast Cancer Coalition and founding member of the New York
State Breast Cancer Network. We publish a quarterly newsletter
which is distributed free of charge to members, medical offices,
and anyone who requests it. We also sponsor talks and workshops,
