The Visual Resources Library (VRL) will provide the University at Albany community with visual resources, and the necessary equipment for their use, in support of the instruction of art history and studio art courses. The VRL will also lend slides to all University departments that employ images in the classroom. Slides, digital images, and periodicals are selected in response to faculty requests and in support of curricular needs, but will be augmented in an effort to create a well-rounded collection. The VRL is also a proponent and facilitator of web-based digital image delivery to the University at Albany community. As the largest collection of visual instructional materials on the University campus, the VRL will continue to foster the use of images, regardless of format, in the classroom.
