- Students living in traditional housing
(Indian, State, Colonial, Dutch and Alumni Quads) are required by the University to purchase a meal plan
- Incoming students living in traditional housing are
pre-assigned to the Weekly 15 Block Plan (see changing your meal plan in the left column)
- All meal plans include two components:
Meals & Munch Money
- Your SUNYCard will provide access to meals and Munch Money at any one of the five residence hall dining locations and at the Campus Center retail locations
|
Residential Dining - Colonial Quad |
|
The meals component allows you to enjoy up to a specific number of guaranteed meals each week or semester, depending on which meal plan you choose. You
may use your meals to treat a guest, dine more than once during a meal period,
or for selected meal trades at Campus Center retail locations.
Meal Trades are meal combinations available at the Campus Center food locations. When you swipe your card for a meal trade, a meal is deducted from your meal plan balance. For a list of times and locations where
meal trades are offered, check our Meal Trade page!
Munch Money is a declining balance (debit) account that is built into your meal plan.
 |
- Munch Money purchases are not subject to
sales tax, which means you save 8% every
time you use Munch Money.
- Munch Money
can be used to buy additional meals, snacks
and beverages in the Campus Center retail
locations, The Patroon Room, Nano Cafe,
Downtown Cafe, Commons Cafe or East Campus Cafe; in vending machines during specific
evening hours; and in the five residence
dining halls.
- Each time you make a purchase,
the amount is subtracted from your
Munch Money balance.
