Directions By Car to the Main Campus
From the South
- Take I-87 (the Thruway) to Exit 24. It's the second Albany exit.
- Take I-90 East to Exit 2.
- Proceed across Washington Avenue onto the campus.
- When you enter the campus, make a quick left onto University Drive.
- Take a right into the State Quad Parking Lot.
From the North
- Take I-87 (the Northway) to Exit 1.
- Take I-90 East to Exit 2.
- Cross Washington Avenue onto campus and turn left onto University Drive.
- Take a right into the State Quad Parking Lot.
From the East
- Take I-90 West to Exit 2
- Make a left onto Fuller Road.
- Make a left onto Washington Avenue.
- At the traffic light turn right onto the campus.
- When you enter the campus, make a quick left onto University Drive.
- Take a right into the State Quad Parking Lot.
From the West
- Take the Thruway east to Exit 24.
- After the tollbooths, go onto I-90 East towards Boston to Exit 2 (Washington Ave./UAlbany).
- Cross Washington Avenue onto the campus.
- When you enter the campus, make a quick left onto University Drive.
- Take a right into the State Quad Parking Lot.
From Albany International Airport
- Exit the airport onto Albany-Shaker Road.
- Follow signs to I-87.
- Turn right onto I-87 South; I-87 to Exit 1.
- Take I-90 East to Exit 2.
- Cross Washington Avenue onto the campus.
- When you enter the campus, make a quick left onto University Drive.
- Take a right into the State Quad Parking Lot.

The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) has many different bus routes and schedules for traveling to the University and around the Albany area. Bus fare is $1.00 and you will need to have exact change. Transit service is available for people with disabilities.
